Charitable Donations

GBR collects donations throughout the year in a beer bottle piggy bank lovingly dubbed Big Brown. Each December, everyone is invited to nominate a local charity to receive the funds. A recipient is randomly selected. Over the years, we have donated over $14,000 to:

  • Habitat for Humanity

  • Mission of Mercy
  • Appalachian Trail Conservancy
  • Open Arms Recovery Center

Adopt A Highway

GBR members regularly participate in Earth Day Cleanups to give back to the area roads that we traverse so frequently. In 2025, we officially adopted a stretch of 116 near the YMCA. 

Supporting Area Races

We have sponsored several local races over the years, such as the York Springs Hometown Strong 5K in May 2026. And you can be sure to spot GBR shirts in the crowd at almost every area event.
